Mr. Lester Pool; To answer your question, NO!! Having read the proposed legislation is why I, as well as most folks, oppose it. What the media tells you about it is far from accurate. I suggest you read the bill.

Ask the folks who live in East Rockaway, Long Island, New York, what they think of Mayor Bloomberg. Many of them can't get the debris from Hurricane Sandy moved out of the streets, even now!! Of course, NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, New York Times, Fox News, et al don't mention this.

Garcia apologizes for ‘stupid’ remark May 23, 2013 at 11:07 a.m.
To many people don't "taste" their words before spitting them out! A lot of athletes are not real smart when it comes to opening their mouths. Of course, that also applies to a lot of people, not just athletes! Some things are better left unsaid, even if 'just kidding' trying to be a comedian!

Shoffner lived rent-free for years, then had to pay May 22, 2013 at 7:54 a.m.
Question for NoUserName; How does allowing someone to use an empty apartment in exchange for paying utilities, then paying rent on another apartment merit disbarment? Based on the article I see no reason Mr. Herron should be critized much less disbarred. As far as his giving money to politicians with an expectation of help "if needed," that has been the case for decades if not centuries.

At least 51 dead, 120 injured in Oklahoma tornado May 20, 2013 at 9:04 p.m.
Having been through a tornado, I can surely empathize with the folks in Oklahoma as well as other areas where storms hit. May God Bless the families of those killed and injured as well as all of those affected by this outbreak.

Jean A. Williams, you still have the right to spend your money wherever you please; just as you have the right to any opinion you choose to have.

188th left dry, Pryor confronts general May 9, 2013 at 12:24 p.m.
It appears this is related to "politics." Senator Pryor did not support BHO's gun control measures so he is being punished! The USAF Chief of Staff as well as the Secretary of the Air Force are political appointees who are protecting their turf! It may well be the A-10 is no longer needed. Mr. Pryor is looking out for his constituents here, which is what an elected official is supposed to do. I don't fault the Senator for that!

Senate OKs legislation to tax online shoppers May 7, 2013 at 11:22 a.m.
Do you folks really believe this is about "fairness?" When politicians start talking about "fairness" and "its for the children," you had better watch out: John Q. Public is going to get royally screwed!

Too many of us folks want 'strict law enforcement' and punishment until it is applied to "us:" that, Dear Mahatma, is a different kettle of fish.

UCA says no to concealed handguns on campus May 4, 2013 at 10:50 a.m.
"Educators," obviously, don't learn much from history! As I recall, all of the "mass killings" in recent history have occurred in "gun free zones." There may have been, maybe one, but, I don't recall anyone being killed or injured at a college, high school, middle school or elementary school by someone with a Concealed Carry Permit! I do recall at least two occasions where perpetrators were stopped from further killings by others who had firearms in their vehicles on the campus: one in Mississippi and one in Virginia. Why don't "Educators" learn some "common sense," which seems to be a thing of the past in today's "politically correct" campuses!
