2 hurt in accidental shooting at North Carolina gun show January 19, 2013 at 6:19 p.m.

every shooting just shows how important the second amendment is. doesnt matter how many kids are killed, or idiots at a gun show, or someone shooting their family member - every shooting just reinforces how great the second amendment is. the more shootings we have the greater the second amendment is. It rises supreme over any other amendment an should be cherished by all, not just republicans and mouth-breathing, shoeless, inbred tea partyers.

Ideology trumps sense January 8, 2013 at 7:59 p.m.

When it comes to taking federal money, obviously Arkansas is one of the first hogs to the trough because the state relies on federal money just to survive. Arkansas takes a lot more from the feds that it gives. I am sure Mr Cotton wouldnt mind closing LRAFB and sending the A10s out of ft smith to save money would he??? There are plenty of bases that can teach C130 pilots and consolidation is needed all over DOD. When Arkansas ends up getting hurt because of stuff like that, the blame belongs with the clowns that elect our congressional delegation.

New Air Force plan cuts base C-130 fleet, staffing January 6, 2013 at 8:41 a.m.

This article shows the hipocrisy of Arkansas's congressional delegation when it come to federal spending. Never met a weapons system they didn't like, but everything else in the budget must be cut. Problem is - wheres the threat?? If if sequestration hit the pentagon, it would only take pentagon budget back to around 2005 or 2006 levels. Our military infrastructure is still to big and too costly to maintain. We are still in japan, korea, and germany well after 60 years of combat in any of those countries. We are maintaining airplanes that are almost 60 years old as well. I support a strong military as well, but like said up top, where is the threat??

Clues lead to Bielema escaping Alvarez’s reach December 23, 2012 at 3:01 p.m.

Frank Broyles tenure as athletic director way overrated. One drama after another with departing coaches, not ever able to get even one SEC championship during his tenure, and constantly humilitating and embarassing Arkansas State by refusing to even acknowledge their existence. All this highlighted on the 20 year anniversary of Arkansas being in the SEC, the Razorbacks are the laughing stock and joke of college football.
