The Day of Dance, a nationwide event encouraging more active lifestyles through dance, was hosted by Washington Regional Medical Center on Saturday at the Northwest Arkansas Mall. More than 13 local dance groups performed a variety of dance styles, which included swing, salsa, Irish dance, hip hop and belly dance. More than 75,000 people in 79 other communities across the U.S. were expected to participate in Day of Dance events.
