The University of Arkansas held a candlelight vigil Monday night at Bud Walton Arena in memory of deceased Razorbacks football player Garrett Uekman.

Thank you Coach Petrino for your service at this time and in this place. You are an example for our Razorbacks and lead through your work ethic, knowledge, and faith. Our team is better equipped to handle such tragedies of life, in part, because of you. May God bless you, the Uekman family, Garrett's teammates including coaches, and most of all Garrett Uekman as he takes his life to the place we all long for ultimately. May peace find all who mourn this loss to humanity. May wisdom reveal Heaven's gain. We are all travelers on the same winding road. Leave some Hog tracks for us to follow, Garrett.
