Chaim Goodman-Strauss, chair of the University of Arkansas Department of Mathematical Sciences describes the disassembly of the Omnitruncated Dodecaplex model in the staircase at David Mullins LIbrary on the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville Tuesday morning. The 10-foot model, built by the UA's department members and Math Club using 21,360 pieces of colored plastic building blocks called Zometools, was disassembled to make room for the construction of another model of similar size and complexity.
