On Oct. 5, 120 runners participated in the 23rd annual Arkansas Traveler 100, a 100-mile foot race through the Ouachita National Forest. The race, which begins and ends near Lake Sylvia, takes most participants between 20 and 30 hours to complete. Of the 120 runners who began the race a 6 a.m. Saturday, 77 crossed the finish line.
