Trent Finley, Sr., Harding Academy
As a senior first baseman, Trent overcame a serious arm injury last year to come back with a dominating 2013 campaign. The 6-foot-3 slugger made a triumphant return blasting a state-high 14 home runs, including a two-run shot in a 3A State Championship game win against Fordyce. Trent also drove in a state-leading 61 runs while batting .490 with a .567 on-base percentage. He managed to pitch 15 innings and struck out 25 batters while walking just five with a sparkling .91 ERA. Trent earned a baseball scholarship to Harding University where his father played and his grandfather served as an assistant coach.
