Trevor Ezell, Sr., Bryant
Trevor Ezell, a 5-9 senior switch-hitting shortstop from Bryant High School, has been named Player of the Year by the Democrat-Gazette's All-Arkansas Preps. Ezell batted .518 during his senior season, belting 6 home runs, 11 doubles, 8 triples and driving in 43 runs in helping the Hornets earn their third Class 7A state title since 2010. Four of his home runs were inside-the-park jobs and three of his home runs were grand slams. Ezell, a lead-off batter, was walked 31 times and he struck out only five times. He also stole 18 bases and scored 50 runs. In his three-year career at Bryant, Ezell drove in 90 runs. Ezell has signed to play for Southeast Missouri State.
