Brooke Matthews, So., Rogers

Brooke Matthews played a solid round of golf on her way to capturing the Overall title and the honor of Girls' Golf Outstanding Player of the Year. The sophomore from Rogers shot a four-over par 76 at the Pleasant Valley Country Club, recording a round that included 14 pars and four bogeys. Matthews' round was good enough for a four-stroke victory. Matthews also shared medalist honors at the 7A state tournament by firing a two-over par 144 at the Meadowbrook Country Club in West Memphis.
