Rachel Box, Sr., White Hall

For the second year in a row, Rachel Box terrorized opposing pitchers with her consistent and powerful bat. The third baseman for the White Hall Lady Bulldogs slugged 11 home runs, leading her team to a 24-5 record and a second consecutive Class 5A state softball title. Box put together an impressive senior season, compiling a team-high .494 batting average with 11 home runs and 28 RBI. She also had a team-high.550 on-base percentage. In this year's state tournament, Box homered in a 9-0 quarterfinal victory over Alma and had a run-scoring double in a 5-2 semifinal victory over Vilonia.
