The following is the response of the Arkansas Division of Youth Services to five incidents involving misuse of The Wrap, hogtying youths or pepper spraying them while in restraints that were identified in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette's investigation of the Yell County Juvenile Detention Center.

The Arkansas Division of Youth Services released a summary Wednesday of the internal investigation it conducted at the Yell County Juvenile Detention Center.

UALR proposed baseball corrective actions

The National Collegiate Athletic Association Enforcement office ruled Dec. 4 that the University of Arkansas at Little Rock baseball program committed four Secondary Level III violations. UALR self imposed sanctions that include the loss of practice time, the loss of a volunteer coach for the season and the loss of a full-time assistant for selective practices this season. Also released Wednesday was the report from The Compliance Group, a Salina, Kan., based firm hired by UALR to conduct an independent investigation for potential violations.
