About Laurel Young, Working from photographs and using friends and family as models, I play on the ideas and attitudes that keep recurring throughout my life. The excitement of an uncertain future. Moments passing with steady continuity or in stillness. I always remain attentive for those sobering instances of beauty that come about from the play of light, shadow and color. Laurel Young Laurel Young is a 39 year old Little Rock native who holds a BA of Fine Arts from UALR 1997. She currently works as a permit tech for the Arkansas Highway Police. Her biggest inspiration she will tell you is her 2-year-old son Jebediah.
