Dino Dash and Stroller Strides Partner on Fitness Program for Young Parents LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (December 6, 2010) The Museum of Discovery and Stroller Strides announced today that they are partnering to produce the inaugural Dino Dash Stroller 5K Training Program. The program begins Saturday, March 12 and runs for ten weeks, culminating with the Museum of Discovery's Dino Dash on May 21, 2011. Participants meet at 7:00 a.m. on Saturdays for a group run and then run two other days per week on their own, with online coaching support. Registration is available by contacting Susan Robinson at 888.335.4041 or susanrobinson@strollerstrides.net The cost to participate is $120 which includes all instruction, online coaching, and entry fee to the stroller division of the 2011 Dino Dash. Short educational sessions will precede each Saturday run. Topics will include mastering the unique running form for running with a stroller, preventing injury, increasing speed, distance, and endurance, choosing the right shoe, and other topics. Additional strength training is also available at the Saturday meetings. "At the suggestion of one of our runners, we launched the stroller division with the 2010 Dino Dash," says Nan Selz, Museum of Discovery executive director, "and the community response was wonderful. Partnering with Stroller Strides was a natural next step.
