Latin American Citizen Council

One of the better attended scholarship banquets every year is the one put on each fall by the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) Council 750 Little Rock at the Clinton Presidential Center. This year 47 students received LULAC scholarships ranging from $250 to $2,500. UALR Provost Zulma Toro gave the keynote address of the night. University of Central Arkansas President Tom Courtway received the council’s President’s Award, and UALR Chancellor Joel Anderson was named Person of the Year.
