The Big Wolf Drive

In 1918, promoters in Montgomery and Polk counties announced a gala, 5-day, 5-county hunting meet to shoot wolves. Up to 5,000 hunters were expected, as well as movie crews. A hunt was held, with camps on the banks of the Caddo River. But its size, conduct and results were other than advertised.
