The inauguration of Frank D. Scott Jr., Little Rock's first black mayor brought into office by popular vote, began with the 155th Swearing-In of City of Little Rock Officials, Jan. 1 at the Robinson Center Performance Hall. It continued with a post-event reception in the ballroom of the Doubletree by Hilton; and the People’s Party that evening at the Robinson Center's William Grant Still Ballroom.
