Splendid salvias

With fragrant foliage and square stems, salvias are a large group of flowering plants in the Mint family that includes sage and chia. Some are perennials; some are annuals. Some are pink, others red; many are purple or blue. Some have variegated foliage. All have flowers that delight bees, butterflies and hummingbirds while not drawing so much interest from deer and rabbits.
