A broken pipe caused flooding and extensive damage to the Museum of Discovery, primarily the galleries, theaters and offices on the eastern end of both floors. Crews surveyed the damage to the museum on Friday, Feb. 19, 2021. "It looked like it was raining in here yesterday (Thursday)," said Myles Pickett. Museum CEO Kelley Bass said it would be "many weeks" before the museum will reopen.
