Jimmy Johnson

Years At Arkansas: 1973-76

Position: Defensive Line Coach

Best Known Job: Head Coach, Miami (1984-88) and Dallas Cowboys (1989-93)

Nearly a decade after playing for Arkansas' national championship team in 1964, Johnson returned as a coordinator for his alma mater.

He manned that position for Frank Broyles' final four seasons as head coach, but was passed over for the head coaching job in favor of Lou Holtz.

After five seasons as head coach at Oklahoma State, Johnson built one of college football's greatest dynasties at Miami, where he went 52-9 and won a national championship in 1987. When his college teammate Jerry Jones bought the Dallas Cowboys in the late '80s, Johnson made the jump to the NFL. The Cowboys won only one game his first season, but finished his five-year run with back-to-back Super Bowl wins.
