Monte Kiffin

Years At Arkansas: 1977-79

Position: Defensive Coordinator

Best Known Job: Defensive Coordinator, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1996-2008)

Before helping revolutionize NFL defenses, Kiffin was an architect of some of Arkansas' best teams.

Lou Holtz hired Kiffin as defensive coordinator in his first season with the Razorbacks. With stalwarts such as Dan Hampton, Kiffin made Arkansas a powerhouse, helping the Razorbacks reach the Orange Bowl, Fiesta Bowl and Sugar Bowl in his three years.

Kiffin left Arkansas to become head coach at North Carolina State, but found his greatest success in the NFL. He helped the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a win in Super Bowl XXXVII and was a mastermind behind the Tampa 2 defense, which is now employed across all of football.
