Marathon's new course begins and ends in River Market area

If you love to imagine yourself bounding across the Little Rock Marathon's finish line March 2 after a victorious downhill in front of the state Capitol, forget it.

The course has changed.

Little Rock Parks and Recreation has decamped after five years of sprawling across asphalt in front of the Capitol and the Victory Building. The "Six in the City" edition of the 26.2-mile footrace will instead start and finish in the Little Rock River Market District.
