Attorney General Dustin McDaniel is engaged and says he plans on getting married this summer.
McDaniel, who was granted a divorce from his wife last year, said Wednesday that he is engaged to Bobbi Fowler of Jonesboro. McDaniel said he proposed to Fowler, 36, in Memphis on Valentine's Day.
McDaniel, 36, was elected attorney general in 2006 and the following year he filed for divorce from Amanda McDaniel. The couple have a daughter, 7-year-old Emma Grace.
McDaniel said he met Fowler through her work as president of the board of the Women's Crisis Center of Northeast Arkansas. She has a 9-year-old son and a 7-year-old daughter, McDaniel said.
McDaniel said they are now looking for a house in Little Rock.
