Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art announced Thursday the acquisition of two works by contemporary artists.

Kerry James Marshall's "Our Town" and Mary McCleary's "The Falcon Cannot Hear the Falconer" will be included in the museum's collection, parts of which are on loan to other museums across the country.

"Both Marshall and McCleary are creating compelling works that speak to contemporary life in late 20th/early 21st century America," Chris Crosman, chief curator, said in the press release.

Read tomorrow's Northwest Edition of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette or return to NWAOnline to find out how the museum determines which contemporary works to add to their collection.
