LITTLE ROCK — Wedding vows were exchanged by Laura Kay Griffin and Blake Aaron Thomas at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 1, in Landmark Baptist Church. David Robinson officiated.
Patty and Richard W. Griffin Jr. of Little Rock are the parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Mary and Richard W. Griffin Sr., Merry Lue McKissack and the late Sam Wortman, all of Little Rock. She is the great-granddaughter of Oma and the late Emerald E. Rigg, also of Little Rock.
Parents of the bridegroom are Sheri and Rickey H. Thomas of Little Rock. He is the grandson of Bernice and Emmit Zachry of Benton and Betty and Harold Thomas of Little Rock.
Arrangements of stargazer lilies, calla lilies and roses decorated the chancel. Music was by vocalist Ryan Couron and organist LorettaRobinson.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white diamond silk mermaid-style gown embellished with crystals. Her bouquet was filled with lilies and roses.
Mary Griffin of Little Rock served as her sister’s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Melissa McClintock and Amanda Johnston, both of Little Rock. They wore tea-length dresses of fuchsia silk and carried lily and rose bouquets.
Serving as flower girls were Abigale Brockette of Little Rock and Aubree Schmidt of North Little Rock. Ring bearers were Haydenn Lee, nephew of the bride, and Bryce Thomas, nephew of the bridegroom, both of Little Rock.
Best man was Eric Brockette of Little Rock. Groomsmen were Brad Thomas of Little Rock, brother ofthe bride, and Casey Squires of Bryant. Guests were seated by Jason Neville of the East End community and Wade Jones of Little Rock.
A reception at the church followed the ceremony. Guest tables held stargazer lily and rose topiaries.
The bride is an honors graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a bachelor’s degree in health sciences. She is completing an internship at the Injury Prevention Center at Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
The bridegroom is a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is a product manager at Alliance Parts Warehouse.
After a honeymoon in St. Thomas and the Virgin Islands, the couple reside in Little Rock.
