Stilley loses law license

Fort Smith attorney Oscar Stilley, who is serving a 15-year federal prison sentence for fraud and tax charges, has lost his Arkansas law license.

The Arkansas Supreme Court ruled Thursday that Stilley deserved to be disbarred for multiple offenses.

Stilley repeatedly filed lawsuits on issues that had been decided, personally sued judges who ruled against him, violated court orders and sought to practice in federal court without disclosing prior Arkansas disciplinary findings.

The 47-year-old Stilley is locked up in a federal prison in Forrest City. He maintains a blog, where he posts his continued court filings in which he’s trying to get his convictions out of Oklahoma overturned.
