    while I generally take a grain of salt with former employee grousing, I take issue with and see need for a remedy to this controversy simply because IT IS DISTRUST OF GOVERNMENT that waters the TEA PARTY movement and TRANSPARENCY AND PROCESS are the remedy to most TEA PARTY ISSUES. SEC of STATE MARK MARTIN raced into office on a wave of support from the TEA PARTY and does not the cause by practicing POLITICAL gamesmanship. Now you have handed GOV.BEBE fodder for justifying usurping the re- districting budget from your office. (yes , it was a bald faced political maneuver) but clouds the ethic pool of conduct.

    * "an environment of disrespect, fear and mistrust"
    * "delete a certain email"
    * "delay delivery of the FOIA until the budgets were approved"
    * "discrepancy in the paper count"

    Shades of Richard Nixon..!!! These Republicans can't seem to help themselves... It's just in their blood, I guess (Can someone be "born" a Republican?) It is time now for Mr. Martin to follow suit and resign..!!!

    "Stewart said Kelly didn’t make the statement to Belew that she (Belew)said he did. “Deputy Kelly said no such thing and at the time in question, the budget was not an issue,” she said. THIS LIE IS EASY TO CONFIRM. REFER TO THE HISTORY OF HB1194. THE BUDGET WAS VERY MUCH STILL IN COMMITTEES...IN FACT IT WASN'T APPROVED UNTIL APRIL 1 WHICH MEANS THERE WAS MUCH AT ISSUE...REMEMBER THE GOVERNOR'S LETTER? THINGS WERE VERY FRAGILE...AND, OF COURSE, AJ KELLY DIDN'T WANT TO ROCK THE BOAT OVER A $54,000 EXPENDITURE THAT EVERYONE KNEW WOULD PROVE TO BE HARD TO JUSTIFY. Really...are these people TRULY so dumb or arrogant that they think people won't look up the facts in order to see who is lying and who is not. If you are keeping track...Martin and his staff have multiple lies...Teresa Belew hasn't lied and can back up everything she stated. As she keeps telling people - she stands 100% behind her statements. And yet Martin and staff can't figure out what is going on. Typical. Hopefully it won't be typical for long. Martin needs to go.

    Excellent point Maddog. Is Martin just another politician who will say anything to get elected and then consider himself above the rules once in office? Seems like it. No party needs such on their slate of candidates.
