— EnviroSand

What’s to love:

It’s sand modified so that it stays in place, kills weeds when used in cobblestone, paver or brick walkways, patios or driveways.

What’s it do:

EnviroSand, made by EnviroBond, is a stabilized joint sand combined with an organic glue made from plants. The glue is designed to form an adhesive gel that binds sand particles together whenever the sand is in contact with water.

This gel keeps the sand from washing out of the joints.

Prevents weed growth. When paver joints are very tight, about 100 square feet can be covered with one 55-pound bag; for wider joints, such as tumbled pavers, one bag covers about 80 square feet.

Price:

$24 for 55-pound bag.
