Aaron Sweet, 19, and his girlfriend, Samantha Espy, 23, were found dead in Sweet's home around 2:20 a.m. on Sunday morning, according to the Searcy Police Department.
Sweet's mother left the couple 2:30 p.m. Saturday in a bedroom at the Searcy residence, Searcy Police Department spokesman Brittany Eacret said.
The mother checked on the couple again about 11 p.m. Saturday, and the two appeared to be asleep, police said.
Sweet's mother left the home and returned home about 2:20 a.m. Sunday morning, and the two were in the same position they were in at 11 p.m., police said. The mother then felt her son's leg, and it was cold to the touch and Espy appeared to be foaming at the mouth, according to police.
Eacret said there were no drugs, weapons or suicide notes found with the bodies. She also said the Searcy Fire Department checked for carbon monoxide in the home and none was found.
This case is being ruled as a suspicious death and is under investigation, police said.
'We're still waiting on results from the Crime Lab," Eacret said.
