Armed robbers flee with $2,500, laptop

A Little Rock couple were robbed of $2,500, keys and a laptop at their apartment Friday evening, according to police reports.

Police responded to a shots-fired call to Chenal Lakes Apartments, at 13500 Chenal Parkway, at 8:30 p.m. Friday.

There, a male resident told officers that three black males forced him into his apartment with handguns while he was checking the oil in his car.

The robbers then forced the man into his apartment, where they took $2,000 in cash. The man was then punched in his left eye but one of the robbers, described as a black male, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 200 pounds.

The victim told police that he recognized the robber who punched him after the robber took his blue mask off.

After the man's wife arrived at the apartment, the robbers took $500 from her purse. One of the robbers took a set of keys, which included keys to their vehicles, house and business.

The robber then opened the trunk of the wife's 2003 Toyota Camry and took a Toshiba Laptop worth $700, police said.

The robbers then left the scene in a dark-colored, boxy vehicle in an unknown direction.

One of the robbers was about 6 feet tall and about 170 pounds, wearing a gray shirt and blue pants. The third was also about 6 feet tall and about 170 pounds, wearing a black shirt and black pants, with a gray mask covering his face.
