A Jacksonville woman was arrested shortly after she threatened to shoot a man she had dated for two years, according to arrest reports.

North Little Rock police were called to 2657 Pike Ave. early Monday by Gabriel Torres, who told police that his former girlfriend had just threatened him with a weapon.

According to Torres, Melody Spencer, 23, told him in the parking lot that she was going to shoot him and then motioned to a gun she had tucked in her waistband, reports said.

Officers caught up with Spencer in a truck and, they said, found a loaded handgun stashed under one of the seats.

She was arrested at 2:35 a.m. and charged with felony terroristic threatening and carrying a weapon.

Spencer remained at the Pulaski County jail Monday night. No bail had been set.
