— Tyler Scaife scored 33 points Wednesday night to lead Little Rock Hall’s scoring, but in the other aspects of the game, the Lady Warriors spread the wealth.

And there was a lot wealth to be found for the host team.

Hall defeated Jacksonville 69-43 in the semifinals of the Little Rock Girls Basketball Invitational, setting up tonight’s championship game against Little Rock Parkview.

Seven Lady Warriors combined for 16 steals and 13 assists.

“In that aspect of the game, I thought we did a pretty good job,” Hall Coach Selita Farr said. “We did a good job of balancing things out and getting everyone involved.”

In a matchup between two major Division I recruits, Scaife and Jacksonville’s Jessica Jackson fought to a near draw. Scaife’s stat line not only included a game-high in points, but also three steals and three rebounds. Jackson scored her team’s first 13 points and finished with 27. She also had 6 rebounds, 3 blocked shots and 4 steals.

No other Lady Red Devil, however, scored more than five points.

“Our plan wasn’t to let [Jackson] have that many points,” Farr said. “We just didn’t do a very good job of getting back on defense, and we gave up too many baskets in transition.”

Hall’s Kiara Moore added 10 points while grabbing 7 rebounds and handing out 3 assists. Guard Taylor Collins finished with eight points and a team-high five steals. Tierra Coffey grabbed a team-high eight rebounds. Kate Weber blocked three shots.

With the game tied at 4-4, the Lady Warriors scored the next 15 points. They led by 25 points with eight minutes to play before Jacksonville made one final stand to pull within 13.

LITTLE ROCK PARKVIEW 53, LITTLE ROCK CENTRAL 45

Roshunda Johnson scored 14 of her game-high 19 points in the second half to spur the Lady Patriots (2-0) to a come-from-behind victory over the Lady Tigers (1-1).

Central led 39-30 with seven minutes to play, but Parkview scored the next 22 points to take control.

Johnson, who had signed with Oklahoma State earlier in the afternoon, also finished with nine rebounds and five steals. Sophomore Sausha Davey added 13 points and seven rebounds. Junior guard Taylor Lewis led Central with 12 points, while Brittany Rufus added nine. Jasmine Cashaw led the Lady Tigers in rebounding with seven, while freshman Kiara Williams scored eight points and grabbed six rebounds.

BAUXITE 67,

LR MCCLELLAN 50

Junior guard Allison Tackett led the Lady Miners (3-1) with 17 points in a victory over the Lady Lions (0-2). Makayla Blanchett added 11 and Mary Crow 10 for Bauxite, which led 34-26 at the half. Senior Andrea Land led Mc-Clellan with 10 points, while Pearle Rials added nine.

MALVERN 78, LR FAIR 3

Raven Baker led the Lady Leopards (1-1) with 14 points in a victory over the Lady War Eagles (0-2). Shakara Penix and Zoe Ollison each added 13, Akasha Westbrook 11 and Alivia Huell nine for Malvern. Junior Kimberly Gaines connected on a three-point play for Fair’s only points.

HEAVENLY HOOPS

NLR beats Star City

North Little Rock’s Asia Hardamon scored 24 points, 19 in the second half, as the North Little Rock Lady Wildcats rallied past Star City 45-38 in the semifinals of the Heavenly Hoops tournament at Mount St. Mary’s McAuley Center.

“We have been waiting for that about 16 months,” North Little Rock Coach Daryl Fimple said of Hardamon’s showing. “We knew it was there. Now that she has shown it, we know she can do it. It is time for her to step up. I think she laid back last year because of the seniors we had.”

North Little Rock will face conference rival Cabot in Saturday’s 2:30 p.m. final.

Hardamon, a 5-7 junior, hit six free throws in the final two minutes as North Little Rock, which trailed 20-14 at halftime, held on for the victory.

“We were feeling pretty good at halftime, and we were obviously feeling too good because we did not come out and play in the second half,” Star City Coach Becky Brown said.

Tyeshia Harris led Star City with 14 points.

CABOT 40, WATSON CHAPEL 36

Alyssa Hamilton finished with 6 points, a steal and a block in the final 1:36 to lift the Lady Panthers.

Hamilton finished 14, 12 in the second half. Elliot Taylor led Cabot with 15 points.

Kamera Bozeman led Watson Chapel with 13 points, and Chelsea Payne scored 10.

SYLVAN HILLS 40, RUSSELLVILLE 38

The Lady Bears outscored Russellville 18-12 in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.

Calyn Fulton led Sylvan Hills with 13 points and Jamedal Byrd scored 11.

MOUNT ST. MARY 41, FORREST CITY 21
