Man robbed at gunpoint in LR's River Market

— A Louisiana man was robbed at gunpoint Friday as he was getting out of his car at a parking lot in Little Rock's River Market district, authorities said.

Hansen Beau Johnston, 24, of Monroe, La., told investigators he was parking his vehicle in the lot at 100 Scott St. about 7:20 p.m. when a man exited a small white car, approached him and pointed a handgun at him.

The robber demanded Johnston hand over his wallet, keys and cell phone and then get on the ground. The robber then got into Johnston's car and fled in it.

Police used an application on Johnston's phone to track it to an apartment complex in the 5500 block of West 51st Street. The stolen vehicle was located and recovered there, but there was no sign of the other property or the robber.

The robber is described as a black man between 18 and 25 years old who is about 5-foot-8 and 160 pounds. He was wearing a black hoodie and bluejeans.
