Some parts of this article are unclear as to which part of the AR 226 widening project is which. The two previously awarded are (a) west from the Cash bypass to US 67 and (b) grading & structures on the Gibson connector. Yesterday's contract is the first 3.41 miles west from the west end of the Gibson connector; November will see the remaining 1.85 miles west from the end of yesterday's contract to the Cash bypass. The 2013 contracts will apparently be for the Cash bypass (one for grading & structures, the other for paving) and paving the Gibson connector; those will complete the overall project (US 49 near Gibson to the current end of the US 67 freeway).
