Officers arrested 48-year-old Derrel James on Monday in connection with the break-ins, Benton Police Department spokesman Lt. Kevin Russell said.

Russell said the facility, located on Shenandoah Drive, reported more than $11,000 worth of copper wire and other items were stolen from an outside storage unit in four separate break-ins over the past few weeks. The facility also reported the individual caused several hundred dollars worth of damage to gain access, Russell said.

James was charged with four counts of breaking and entering, four counts of theft of property and four counts of criminal mischief, but Russell said more charges could be forthcoming.

Russell said James also has felony warrants out of Pulaski County.
