Couple robbed at gunpoint after meeting to buy laptop, tablet

Authorities are searching for a suspect in a Monday night robbery that occurred after a couple met with a man to buy an Apple laptop and an iPad.

The two victims, identified as Travis Mosler and Lorrie Fleming, both 22, agreed to meet someone to buy the devices, according to a Little Rock Police Department report.

When the couple pulled up to the Valero gas station at 3300 Bankhead Road, an unidentified man attempted to get in the back seat of the couple's car, police said. The individual then asked if they were there to buy the laptop and tablet, at which point he told them to meet him at the Waffle House at 3202 Bankhead, just down the road, according to the report.

Shortly after arriving at the restaurant, the man, who at that point was in the back seat of the couple's car, pulled a firearm and demanded the money they brought to buy the items, according to the report. The two victims gave the robber the money, at which point he got out of the car and fled northbound through the Waffle House parking lot, police said.

Officers searched the area for the robber, described as a black male, about 5 foot 7 and 140 pounds, wearing a black shirt and stocking cap, but they could not find him, according to the report.

The suspect got away with $750 in cash, the report states.

According to the report, neither Mosler nor Fleming was visibly injured in the altercation and refused medical attention.

The investigation is ongoing.
