The Sherwood Police Department has said it will digitize its crash reports and make them available for purchase online.
In a partnership with Carfax, an online business that offers vehicle-history reports, the department will make its reports available to involved parties, insurance companies and the public at www.crashdocs.org/ar-sherwoodpd.
Filing electronic reports “reduces overhead costs for the department,” the Sherwood police said in a statement.
Now, 10 police departments in the state log their crash records electronically.
Bella Vista, Blytheville, Cabot, Eureka Springs, Fort Smith, Johnson, Russellville, White Hall and Wynne police use the same service.
