— A man found shot to death in Saline County has been identified, the sheriff's office said Monday.

Authorities say hunters discovered a body Sunday morning on a hunting lease off of River Road in Haskell.

A statement from the Saline County sheriff's 0ffice identifies the victim as Gregory Tyrone Pikes, 19, of Benton.

The family told Little Rock television station KATV, Channel 7, that Pikes had been shot multiple times.

His mother, Tinka Robins, says her son had recently been beaten up and left in a ditch. She says he’d also been threatened recently by a group of friends.

Authorities say no one has been arrested yet in the fatal shooting. Anyone with information on the case can call the office's Criminal Investigation Division at (501) 303-5608.

If he was threatened by a group of his friends, I can only imagine what his enemies thought of him.
