Authorities have arrested a man in the death of a woman whose body was found last week in a wooded area in Little Rock.
James Clyde Martin, 36, is facing charges including first-degree murder and abuse of a corpse in the killing of Robbin Gore.
Martin, a Wrightsville resident who was identified as a suspect after authorities released information about the crime and received two tips, confessed to striking Gore and then using a belt to strangle her "until she was dead," according to a Pulaski County sheriff's office report.
Investigators say Martin also admitted dumping the body in woods across from Dixon Manor Mobile Home Park, where a fisherman found the body Friday.
No motive for the killing was listed in the report, which indicates Martin and Gore were friends.
The calls in the case from Martin's father and the niece of Gore's boyfriend, the report said.
Martin's father reportedly said Gore "left her truck at his residence on July 4th and has not returned to get it." It wasn't clear from the report whether the father was referring to his residence, his son's or if they live together.
The niece said Gore hadn't contacted her uncle since July 4, according to the report.
Martin was formally arrested at 10:40 p.m. Sunday. Bail has not yet been set.
