Father of the Bride

Pioneer Village Open House

SEARCY — Pioneer Village, 1200 Higginson St., will continue its annual Spring Open House from 1-4 p.m. today. There will be costumed guides, and all buildings will be open. The event will feature food, music, activities for children, handmade items, pioneer craftsmen and demonstrations, and a Master Gardener plant sale. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted. Consumer-Protection Forum

SEARCY — The White County Cooperative Extension Service, University of Arkansas, Division of Agriculture, will sponsor a Protecting Arkansans town-hall meeting from 8 a.m. to noon in the White County Medical Center’s Hubach Conference Center, 3214 E. Race Ave. Topics will include securities, insurance, Medicare and consumer alerts. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m., and lunch will be provided. The free meeting is open to the public. Meal and Free Concert

PANGBURN — There will be a hot dog and sausage meal from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center at Pangburn High School. The cost of the meal is $5 and includes an entree, chips, dessert and drink. Tickets can be bought from a member of the school’s band or at the door. Following the meal, there will be a spring concert in the Performing Arts Auditorium at 7 p.m. The junior and senior bands, jazz band, and junior and senior choirs will perform. Bald Knob Golf Tournament

BALD KNOB — The Bald Knob Public Educational Foundation’s ninth annual four-person golf tournament will begin at 9 a.m. at the Bald Knob Country Club. The entry fee is $50 per person or $200 for a team. Hole sponsorships are available for $100. Proceeds will be used for scholarships for Bald Knob High School seniors. Ward Chamber Banquet

WARD — The Ward Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual awards banquet, with a social hour at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7. Benefit Spaghetti Supper

LONOKE — There will be a benefit spaghetti supper for Randy Walker, who is battling colon and liver cancer, at 5 p.m. at Mount Zion United Methodist Church on Mount Tabor Road. Donations will be accepted. A checking account has been set up at Centennial Bank for the Randy Walker Benefit.

Scavenger Hunt

MAMMOTH SPRING — The Mammoth Spring Chamber of Commerce will hold a scavenger hunt from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in conjunction with National Travel and Tourism Week and Mammoth Spring State Park Tourism Day. The scavenger hunt will begin at the park’s welcome center. Participants will be given clues and a list of items to gather. The items can be found at local businesses. The winner will receive a $100 prize.

Second Saturday Bingo

SEARCY — The Performing Arts Center on the Square is accepting submissions for its first original-one-act-play contest. All subject matter is welcome. Batesville Chamber Golf Classic

BATESVILLE — The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its eighth annual Chamber Golf Classic at 10 a.m. June 7 at The Course at Eagle Mountain. The registration fee for a team of four is $375, which includes coolers, beverages, breakfast, lunch and two golf carts. The tournament is limited to the first 25 registered teams. NEWPORT — The Harris Hospital Senior Circle Association is accepting reservations for three trips later this year. A rail trip to New Orleans will be June 17-20, with a cost of $699 per person. A motorcoach trip to Niagra Falls and Toronto will be Sept. 1-8, with a cost of $789 per person. There will also be a seven-day cruise from New Orleans to the western Caribbean from Oct. 13-19.
