Woman gets probation for selling drugs to grandson

MOUNTAIN HOME — A Mountain Home woman has pleaded guilty to drug charges after she admitted selling prescription painkillers to her grandson, who was acting as a police informant.

Sixty-year-old Vicki Sue Gardner pleaded guilty Thursday to delivery of a controlled substance. According to court records, Gardner sold 455 oxycodone pills, 40 OxyContin pills and 99 hydrocodone pills to her grandson, who was working with police.

The Baxter Bulletin reported that Circuit Judge John Putman sentenced Gardner to 10 years of probation and fined her $1,000. He said he gave her probation because of her age and her health and said she'd go to prison if she sold drugs again.

In court, Gardner admitted selling the drugs and said she would never do it again.
