19-year-old held in Saturday fatal shooting

Little Rock police have identified a man accused of shooting and killing a man Saturday on the 2700 block of Longcoy Street.

Little Rock Police Department spokesman Lt. Sidney Allen said in an email that detectives developed Loren Owens, 19, of Little Rock as the suspect in the homicide of Kegen Hilliard, 19, of Little Rock.

Patrol officers caught Owens about 8:15 p.m. Saturday after a foot chase that ended around 2900 Zion St. in Little Rock.

Owens has been charged with first-degree murder, Allen said.
