AARP Smart Driver Course
RUSSELLVILLE — An AARP Smart Driver Course, hosted by Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center, will be offered from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Saint Mary’s Annex, behind the hospital. The class is open to people 55 and older. The cost is $15 for AARP members and $20 for nonmembers, payable to AARP the day of the class. Pastries and coffee will be provided. First Wednesday Ladies’ Lunch Break
CONWAY — The First Wednesday Ladies’ Lunch Break, a nondenominational Bible study, has relocated to Second Baptist Church at Dave Ward Drive and Farris Road. Adaptable Animals Day Camp
RUSSELLVILLE — The Adaptable Animals Day Camp at Lake Dardanelle State Park, to be held Wednesday through Friday, is open to children ages 8-12 and will explore a variety of topics, including what makes a bird, how a skunk is adapted to living in a forest and more. Reality-Based Leadership Workshop
RUSSELLVILLE — The Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center will present Reality-Based Leadership from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Arkansas Tech University. Loretta Cochran, associate professor of management at ATU, will discuss concepts based on the book Reality-Based Leadership: Ditch the Drama, Restore Sanity to the Workplace, and Turn Excuses into Results, by Cy Wakeman. The workshop is suited for anyone who works in management or wants to do so. The cost is $99 per person. Breakfast, lunch and training materials are included. Sacred Heart Meat Sale
MORRILTON — Sacred Heart Catholic School is selling Petit Jean whole slow-smoked Boston butts (8-10 pounds) for $32 each and smoked pork ribs (4-4.5 pounds) for $26, just in time for Labor Day.
