3:55 p.m. update:

The Jacksonville Police Department has inactivated its Silver Alert that was issued on Tuesday afternoon.

Jacksonville Police Department spokesman April Kizer said Patricia Gail Gantner, 79, was found safe in a wooded area near the place she walked away from on Tuesday morning.

Kizer said medical personnel is checking Gantner to make sure she has no injuries.

The Jacksonville Police Department has activated a Silver Alert for Patricia Gail Gantner, 79, who was last seen Tuesday morning.

Police said Gantner, who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, walked away from 303 White Tail Lane in Jacksonville at 11:57 a.m.

She is described as a fair-complected white woman weighing 110 pounds, standing 4 feet 11 inches, with blue eyes and straight, silver hair.

Police said Gantner was last seen wearing a flowered shirt, khaki pants and blue rubber yard shoes.
