A Cabot man died Wednesday morning after falling off a roof in what appears to be an industrial accident.
Authorities were called to the scene at 1900 W. 65th St., where they discovered James Taylor, 51, of 132 Cardinal Lane Apt. 80 in Cabot, lying face-down in a parking lot, according to a report from the Little Rock Police Department.
One of Taylor’s coworkers told officers that he and Taylor had been working on the roof with measuring tape. The man looked away from Taylor and when he looked back, the report states, he did not see Taylor anymore. The coworker went to the opposite side of the building and found Taylor lying in the parking lot.
Taylor was taken to UAMS Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, police said. Homicide detectives were on the scene, along with crime-scene technicians, according to the report. Taylor’s death was listed as an “industrial accident death” on the report.
