10 McClellan High School students arrested after fight

A food fight in the cafeteria of McClellan High School turned into a brawl Friday afternoon, leading to the arrest of 10 students, Little Rock Police say.

The juvenile students were arrested on charges ranging from disorderly conduct to third degree battery, Little Rock Police Department spokesman Lt. Sidney Allen said in an email.

When officers arrived at the school about 1 p.m., they found a teacher telling students to go to class or leave the property, a Little Rock Police Department report states.

At that point, one student who was standing outside of the school yelled at the teacher to “stop talking to me,” according to the report.

Police say this student exchanged words with officers as well, and took an aggressive stance toward the police before being handcuffed and taken into custody.

There is no more information at this time about what caused the fight, Allen said.
