Just after noon, a black man robbed the U.S. Bank location at 11402 W. Markham St. On his way out of the bank, he was confronted by one of the employees, at which point he said he had a gun and reached into his waistband, according to a police statement. The suspect then fled across the parking lot toward Academy Sports and drove away in a "green, older model" Chrysler New Yorker or Dodge Dynasty, according to the statement.

Little Rock police spokesman Lt. Sidney Allen said in an email that the man may be the same individual wanted in connection with the Wednesday robbery of the U.S. Bank location on Baseline Road.

About 2:30 p.m. Monday, a woman robbed the Arvest Bank location at 11331 Arcade Drive. Allen said the woman entered the building and said she had a bomb strapped to her body. A teller handed over the money she demanded, and she fled on foot.

NLR man arrested in scissors assault

Police arrested a North Little Rock man Sunday on one charge of aggravated assault.

North Little Rock police arrested Kyle Williams, 23, of North Little Rock about 6:41 p.m. According to the arrest report, Williams attempted to stab Christopher Lawson, 25, a homeless man, multiple times with scissors. Five witnesses corroborated Lawson's story.

When confronted by police, Williams said though he had had scissors with him, which he subsequently threw into nearby bushes, he had not tried to stab Lawson, according to police. Attempts by police to recover the scissors were unsuccessful.

Williams was being held Monday in the Pulaski County jail in lieu of $25,000 bond.
