A tractor-trailer went up in flames on Interstate 40 Thursday night, halting traffic for about an hour as crews put out the fire.
A video shot by Michael Wells showed police rushing to the scene of the flames on the eastbound lanes of I-40 near the Interstate 430 interchange.
Wells told Arkansas Online he was stuck in traffic about eight cars back when he first saw the fire around 7:40 p.m.
"All of a sudden the 18-wheeler was up in flames," he said.
The cause of the fire wasn't immediately known.
Firefighters came from both directions on the highway, Wells said, and took between 20 and 25 minutes to put out the flames.
Traffic was stuck behind the truck for about an hour before police reopened the road, he said.
