A Memphis man was found dead in his vehicle in a parking lot early Friday morning, police say.

About 1:15 a.m., officers saw a tan Cadillac Escalade parked in an unlit parking lot at Pendleton Street and Ketchum Avenue with the engine running, the Memphis Police Department said in a news release.

Police identified the man as 53-year-old Barron McGlothlin. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

There were no signs of foul play and the cause of death is yet to be determined by the medical examiner’s office, the release states.

An investigation is ongoing.
