Lindsey Little Gray

Where I live: I live in the Chenal neighborhood in west Little Rock with my husband, Brandon, and our three sons: Ethan (7), Charlie (3) and Harrison (21 months).

Occupation: I am the owner of the Eggshells Kitchen Co. in the Heights.

My favorite space is: Our kitchen.

Why? It's where we gather to entertain friends and family, and the kitchen opens onto a large living area. We have a bar with stools as well as a center island counter. Most times, people mill around the kitchen and nibble here and there, while visiting and sipping a festive beverage. It is also a great space for the boys to do homework and projects. And from the kitchen, we can watch them play in the living area. I may own a kitchen store, but Brandon is the one who has really become the daily cook. I generally handle the special occasion cooking and baking. I host cooking classes at the store with local chefs so we have learned a lot over the last year, and we have attended the Viking cooking school twice to improve our skills.

If I could make one change to improve this space, I would: Redo the dining area off the kitchen to make it a little cozier and comfortable. And I might upgrade to a Viking cooking range. After attending the cooking school, we feel accomplished enough to kick it up a notch.
