Man arrested in burglary that left one dead

A Jacksonville man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a Dec. 30 burglary that left one man dead, officials say.

Steven Miller, 44, was arrested and charged with aggravated residential burglary and manslaughter, according to a Pulaski County sheriff's office arrest report.

Zachary Blalock, 21, told officials that he shot a man, later identified as 25-year-old Garrett Cowsert of Sherwood, who broke into his north Pulaski County home, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette previously reported. Cowsert was later pronounced dead.

Miller was not found at Blalock's home, but an investigation led detectives to him, Pulaski County sheriff's office spokesman Lt. Carl Minden said.
